What a nice surprise finding this setting one evening on our travels from Portland, OR to Easley, SC. Wines offered were a nice contrast to wines of the far west. Some truly serious products; as, their 2000 Cabernet Franc which frankly is better than Chinon, also Cab Franc, which is thought of as the typical French wine. To quote my brother-in-law, the minister wine expert, "It's deep, rich and marvellous and the finish just goes on and on." The restaurant had a full menu choice, but obviously we caught them in a beginning of summer "training" night for waitresses. Beautiful rolling hills setting, but rocky service. Steaks ordered medium-rare came in as medium-well. Oh well, the wonderful glass of 2003 Carmela Pinot Noir made up the difference in the evening's meal. Bottom line, will we return on our travels west, ~ a positive YES for "round two."

just stopped in on my way through Idaho, I went to the "saloon" for some wine tasting and small snack. the area is gorgeous and If I had more time would take them up on their golf/dinner/wine deal that is unbeatable. Mardi the bartender was extremely helpful in selecting wines and just overall friendly. the stuffed mushrooms were TO DIE FOR, I have never had better, and thats not just the wine talking. overall i left full, delighted and with two great, very reasonably priced bottles of wine. All for under $30.(the free tasting flight of 4 wines helped).
